Role and Responsibilities
  • Position Summary: As a Field Sales Representative reporting to the Northern USA Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in Certarus’ growth in the Northeastern/Pennsylvania and Ohio regions. Your expertise in outside sales management will be instrumental in driving revenue and implementing innovative sales strategies in the field.
  • Flexible Schedule: Embrace a role that adapts to business needs, including normal business hours and additional hours when necessary. Your presence will be required at our corporate offices, various Certarus locations, and customer sites.
  • Key Duties:
    • Sales Targets: Meet sales targets for compressed natural gas, focusing on commercial, industrial, and oil and gas markets.
    • Client Relationships: Develop and nurture key accounts to ensure high service levels and client loyalty.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in sync with operations and support functions to deliver customer-centric solutions.
    • Strategic Account Management: Handle strategic accounts with a focus on profitable growth and effective pricing strategies.
    • Contract Negotiations: Develop pricing strategies, negotiate contract terms, and manage legal aspects of client agreements.
    • Invoice Management: Collaborate with accounting for accurate and timely job invoice approvals.
    • Additional Responsibilities: As required by the dynamic nature of the role.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Field Sales Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in field sales, ideally in energy services.
  • Industry Network: Strong connections in oil and gas, industrial, construction, or power generation sectors will be advantageous.
  • Business Development Skills: Proven track record in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities.
  • Negotiation Skills: Adept at negotiating and understanding the nuances of client agreements.
  • Collaborative Approach: Ability to work effectively in a team and build trust-based relationships.
  • Communication Proficiency: Excellent communication skills for managing diverse business relationships.
  • Self-Driven: Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems, Concur, and other relevant software.
